¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ is an environment in which the education of women stands central and in the widest possible manner: intellectual and personal development are seen as integral to each other. There is a wonderful sense of Fellowship, a thriving that makes it possible for people, buildings, gardens and art to coexist in a holistic manner.

Research interests

  • literature and history of the Low Countries,
  • and drama and society in the Low Countries in the late medieval and renaissance period.

Biography

Elsa Strietman has been instrumental in making the drama of the Low Countries in these periods better known outside the Netherlands and Belgium, through publications and translations. She served as undergraduate and graduate Tutor from 1988 to 2014 and as Vice President from 2008 to 2014.
