A graduating student cheers as she receives her degree

¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ is delighted to offer the Simona Parvani-Mellinghoff Scholarship to one academically exceptional Italian student pursuing a Master’s degree in Economics or a Maths-based science.

This prestigious scholarship may be held at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ only, and awards a minimum of £12,500 to a top candidate identified by the relevant course department at the point of application. The award can be used for maintenance or course fees.

The scholarship is generously funded by Simona Paravani-Mellinghoff, Supernumerary Fellow of ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and Distinguished Affiliated Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Cambridge. You can read more about Simona’s work and career here.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible candidates must:

  • have Italian Nationality
  • have applied for admission, or already received an offer of admission, to study a Master's Course in Economics or a Maths-based Science at the University of Cambridge
  • agree, and be eligible, to join ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ
How to Apply?

Candidates should apply for their desired postgraduate course of study in the normal way. There is no need for a separate application or reference as, once we have determined eligibility, we will use the University’s ranking system to determine the top ranked candidate.

Candidates may use the "Statement of Interest" and "Career Goals" sections of their Master’s application to indicate their particular desire to be considered for the Scholarship.

The successful applicant will be selected by the College and should be notified between May and June.
