ABB plans to spin off its robotics division as a separate, publicly listed company in the second quarter of 2026. The move will unlock value, enhance growth, and attract talent with focused governance. ABB shareholders will receive shares as a dividend in kind. ABB Robotics, a global automation leader with $2.3 billion in 2024 revenue and 7,000 employees, will debut with a strong capital base. ABB will refocus on electrification and automation, while machine automation will shift to process automation.
